Wiesbaden committed
The "Wiesbaden Engagiert!" campaign week initiates and supports cooperation projects between companies and non-profit organizations. The campaign is coordinated by the Corporate Cooperation Department at the Office for Social Work and has been supported by WICM and TriWiCon for over 10 years.
Projects in 2025
Painting work at Diakonie Wiesbaden Rheingau-Taunus
At the project exchange held in advance, WICM was able to find two additional project partners in addition to the pastoral care for people with disabilities in the Protestant deanery of Wiesbaden. First, eight employees of TriWiCon/Wiesbaden Congress & Marketing GmbH took on the project "Dry and fantastically beautiful" at the Regional Diakonie Wiesbaden Rheingau-Taunus. As a non-profit organization, the Regional Diakonie Wiesbaden Rheingau-Taunus helps people in difficult life situations. Within the area of social participation, formerly homeless people who want to live abstinent lives are cared for in two residential groups in the so-called "dry dock." Clients receive support in dealing with individual problems, maintaining their abstinence, and reintegrating into society. The employees repainted the common areas and hallways of the residential groups.
Flyer for Wiesbaden youth work
In addition, the WICM's graphics department supported the "JUZERIA" youth work center in Wiesbaden by designing an advertising flyer. Since 2023, the "JUZERIA" youth center in Westend has been regularly baking and distributing pizza to homeless people in Wiesbaden. The flyer helps to raise awareness of JUZERIA among young people and at the same time attract sponsors for the campaigns.
Summer festival of the Protestant pastoral care for people with disabilities
Independently of the campaign week, which took place in September 2025, a team of dedicated employees supported the inclusive summer festival of the Wiesbaden Pastoral Care for the Disabled on the grounds of the Protestant Thomasgemeinde on June 27, 2025. Here, active support was needed for setting up/dismantling, the cake buffet, the barbecue station, and various games. In addition, the WICM made it possible for Luke Greenstone, who attracted attention on "The Voice of Germany" in 2019, to perform.
Projects in 2024
Organization of a summer festival
For many years now, a dedicated team of employees has been supporting the summer party organized by the Protestant pastoral care service for people with disabilities, helping with the technical organization, setting up and dismantling, donating food, and putting their heart and soul into the event.
The festival was celebrated on June 21, 2024, with around 100 guests and 14 employees from Wiesbaden Congress & Marketing GmbH and TriWiCon.
Beautification of the JIZ Youth Information Center
For the first time, a second project was supported: the JIZ – Wiesbaden Youth Information Center on Schwalbacher Straße – was beautified by eight employees on Monday, June 24. Painting work was carried out and a plant bed was installed and designed.
What is "Wiesbaden Engagiert!"?
The "Wiesbaden Engagiert!" campaign week brings together municipal employees, companies and non-profit organizations in Wiesbaden with the aim of getting involved in joint projects during a campaign period and using their own, often manual and creative skills.
"Wiesbaden Engagiert!" celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2024 and once again set an impressive example for the social commitment of companies in the region. A new record was even set:
1,700 employees from 112 companies got involved in 138 projects at 110 charitable organizations.
Starting with a single day of action in 2005, "Wiesbaden Engagiert!" has developed into a week of action since 2014 that moves thousands of people every year and strengthens cohesion in Wiesbaden. These days are full of commitment, creative project ideas and great solidarity between the partners.
