Our networks
Sustainable networks connect companies that want to continuously improve their environmental and climate footprint as well as their sustainability performance.
TourCert sustainability network
As part of the sustainability certification process for the WIESBADEN RHEINGAU destination, we established the TourCert network in collaboration with Rheingau-Taunus Kultur und Tourismus GmbH (RTKT). This network comprises tourism businesses that aim to make steady improvements in the area of sustainability.
The TourCert network in WIESBADEN RHEINGAU is being expanded to include the sustainability partners of Taunus Touristik Service and the RheinTaunus Nature Park, because ultimately we all share the same goal: to make the region holistically sustainable through a range of diverse improvement measures. The overarching network, which now has nearly 100 members, meets via online and in-person events, providing valuable insights and opportunities for exchange.
Sustainable Event Industry Initiative
Sustainability is becoming increasingly crucial to the success of events in order to meet the expectations of participants and partners. To promote this change, BAUM e. V., in collaboration with 2bdifferent, has launched the Sustainable Events Industry Initiative (INV). It forms a network of stakeholders who support innovative solutions. The initiative aims to work with members and partners to advance sustainable practices in the events industry and to act as a catalyst for change. The goal is to build expertise and foster a shift toward sustainability through innovative approaches.
The initiative launched in September 2024 with a kickoff event in Darmstadt. WICM GmbH has been a member of the initiative since its founding.
CSR Regio.Net

Wiesbaden Initiative for Sustainable Workplace Mobility (WiNaMo)

The network fosters the exchange of ideas on sustainable mobility concepts and focuses on expanding environmentally friendly alternatives for everyday work life. WICM has been part of the initiative since 2026.
Sustainability Code fairpflichtet
"fairpflichtet" is the sustainability code of the German-speaking event industry. fairpflichtet members are all players in the industry who are committed to ecological, social and economic sustainability and transparently document their commitment with fairpflichtet. Certification by third parties does not take place. The Sustainability Code is a voluntary commitment to corporate responsibility for sustainability. (Source: fairpflichtet) (opens in a new tab)
Compliance with the EVVC/GCB sustainability code "fairpflichtet" is a matter of course for us. Under the umbrella of Wiesbaden Congress & Marketing GmbH, the RMCC and Kurhaus Wiesbaden have been committed to "fairpflichtet" since 2020.
As a member, we have created a sustainability profile in which we publish our measures and progress. The sustainability profile transparently documents the commitment and current status of the sustainable development of fairpflichtet members.
Energy efficiency and climate protection network initiative
Since 2018/2019, wehave been participating in the "Energy Efficiency and Climate Protection Network Initiative", similar to our participation in the ÖKOPROFIT program.
The idea of the network is to work together with other companies and experts in a targeted exchange to increase energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. There is an unbureaucratic exchange of experience and ideas, usually between 8 and 15, but at least five companies or company locations, over a period of two to three years to jointly increase energy efficiency and implement climate protection, resource efficiency or sustainability measures.
Fair procurement" network
WICM GmbH has been a member of the Fair Procurement Network of the Service Agency Communities of One World (SKEW) since 2022. The nationwide Fair Procurement Network is an initiative that is committed to complying with social standards when awarding public contracts.
We receive qualified support from the network and take part in annual network meetings.
Diversity Charter
By signing the Diversity Charter, we have been clearly communicating our corporate values to the outside world since 2024. For us, it represents a clear commitment to the free democratic basic order within the framework of our social coexistence. As an employer with a strong network in the region and within the tourism and events industries, we aim to fulfill our overall corporate responsibility and, together with our partners, provide a safe work environment for everyone during times of social tension.
