Earth Hour
WICM GmbH has been participating in the Earth Hour initiative for many years. On March 28, 2026, it will be that time again:
Millions of people around the globe will turn off their lights for the international "WWF Earth Hour" to send a joint message for more environmental and climate protection. The WWF wants to show that we need to take better care of our planet. Earth Hour puts the climate back in the spotlight. And the more people who participate, the stronger the joint message will be: Climate protection must not be forgotten!
This year, the lights at the Kurhaus Wiesbaden will also be turned off for Earth Hour.
"Even though we always reduce the lighting in our event venues to a minimum during non-event times, regardless of Earth Hour, we want to emphasize our commitment to this by participating in the world's largest environmental and climate protection campaign, which draws global attention to the need for sustainable use of resources," says Wiesbaden Congress & Marketing Managing Director Martin Michel, explaining the importance of the topic for Wiesbaden's event venues.
